As a Staff Software Engineer on Rippling's Financial Services team, you will anchor the Money Movement and Treasury architecture hub. You will own deterministic, config-driven, incrementally testable ledger architecture. The work supports reconciliation, tax liabilities, payment systems, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Redesign General Ledger and reconciliation systems for deterministic processing
- Establish universal primitives across historically disjointed payment systems
- Develop reconciliation replay and testing frameworks with Payments Data
- Anchor the Seattle site and mentor Senior engineers




- Collaborate with Tax and Accounting teams on requirements

Requirements:

- Eight or more years of qualified software engineering experience
- Strong backend development and distributed systems background
- Large-scale fault-tolerant architecture design experience
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or another modern backend language
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL and Spark or Flink
