Job Description

This opportunity involves supporting the Inside Plant design team with a backlog of engineering work. This person will take assigned network jobs, complete the required design work, and create detailed engineering/job packets with equipment, connectivity, materials, and implementation instructions before handing them off for execution.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years telecom/network design experience, with Inside Plant (ISP) strongly preferredFrench-speakingExperience creating engineering packages, job packets, work orders, or implementation documentationStrong IP networking / LAN-WAN knowledgeExperience with Cisco and/or Ciena equipmentKnowledge of DWDM/CWDM and optical transportUnderstanding of routing/switching including BGP, OSPF, VLANs and MPLSSAP experience, although they can train on their specific processesAbility to work independently and manage multiple design jobsNokia OLT / fiber-frame designDC power,



grounding and redundancy experience100G NNI / carrier peeringNetcracker/NPI or equivalent circuit/network inventory toolsNFV/VNF experience
