Monitor Capilano University’s digital ecosystem as a Cybersecurity Analyst using SIEM, Azure, and incident response skills in North Vancouver. This regular full-time position supports university cybersecurity operations and strategy.

Reporting to the Manager, Centralised Security Services, you will implement cybersecurity measures, processes, and controls. The work includes monitoring networks, cloud infrastructure, systems, and software for suspicious activity. You will investigate alerts, respond to incidents, maintain security technologies, and collaborate with DTS teams on approved solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor digital environments for malware, breaches, and suspicious activity
- Investigate alerts and implement technical cybersecurity solutions
- Maintain SIEM, firewalls, endpoint, Azure, and Office 365 controls




- Implement server and endpoint patch management strategies
- Respond to security breaches through established incident processes

Requirements:

- Three-plus years of relevant professional experience
- One year of experience in a public sector environment
- Experience with SIEM, firewalls, identity, and endpoint technologies
- Knowledge of incident response processes and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree and completed criminal record check
