The Batching & Mixing Assistant supports the production team with the preparation, batching, and mixing of ingredients according to established recipes, production schedules, and food-safety standards. The role requires attention to detail, physical ability, teamwork, and a robust commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

Duties

- Assist with weighing, measuring, and preparing ingredients according to production requirements.
- Load and unload ingredients and materials used in the batching and mixing process.
- Operate and assist with batching and mixing equipment after receiving appropriate training.
- Follow recipes, production instructions, and standard operating procedures accurately.
- Monitor ingredients and production processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, GMP, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Identify and report equipment issues, product concerns, spills, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Perform cleaning and sanitation duties for equipment and production areas as required.




- Assist other production team members when needed.
- Complete required production records and documentation accurately.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and trainers and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualification

- Previous food-production, batching, mixing, or manufacturing experience is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to learn production procedures and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and food-quality standards

Work Environment

This position is performed in a food-production facility and may involve exposure to machinery, varying temperatures, noise, and food ingredients. Employees are expected to follow all Yaya Foods safety, hygiene, and sanitation requirements.
