GOOD ON THE PHONE? THERE'S A CAREER HERE WITH YOUR NAME ON IT.

Finance Manager in Training
DRIVEN Auto Group | Newmarket, Ontario
$40,000 annual base salary + Commissions and Bonus (Potential to earn up to 100K per year)
Full-time • In person

You're good with people. You're comfortable on the phone. Interested in the car business, but the idea of relying entirely on commission has held you back?

At DRIVEN, we're opening a different door.

We're looking for confident, organized people who can connect with customers, follow a clear process and learn how automotive financing works—with an experienced finance director guiding them..

At DRIVEN, we're giving you a way to earn while you learn.

We're hiring Finance Managers in Training to work with customers who have responded to our online ads and need help purchasing and financing a vehicle.

You don't need to arrive knowing automotive lending, credit or how to structure a car deal. You do need to be coachable, organized and willing to follow a process.

You'll have a script to guide the conversation and experienced finance leadership to guide the deal.

What you'll actually do

You'll reach out to customers, get to know their situation and understand what they're looking for. Using our script and needs analysis, you'll gather the information and documents needed to move their application forward.

From there, you'll work directly with our finance leadership team. They'll review the file, determine the financing strategy and guide you through the next steps.

These will be your customers and your deals. You'll stay involved through vehicle selection, approval and delivery, building your skills with direction and support along the way.

Your day will include:

- Calling, texting and emailing customers who have contacted DRIVEN.

- Following our script while keeping conversations natural and personal.

- Collecting accurate application information, driver's licences and income documents.

- Entering information into our systems and keeping customer files organized.

- Following your director's instructions to help progress applications and approvals.

- Keeping customers informed and following up consistently.

- Learning the sales and financing process through real customer deals.

Who we're looking for

You might work in customer service, banking, hospitality, phone sales or a call centre. You may already be in automotive and looking for a more structured opportunity.

What you'll need to succeed

This role combines sales, technology and detailed financial paperwork. We're looking for someone who can build a connection with a customer while staying accurate, organized and accountable.

- Strong people skills and sales instincts. You can make people comfortable, ask thoughtful questions and confidently move a conversation toward the next step.

- Confidence with technology. You're comfortable learning multiple software platforms, managing digital documents and keeping accurate customer records. Experience with a CRM or dealership management system is an asset.

- The ability to learn and retain information. You can absorb training, take useful notes and apply what you've learned to real customer situations.

- Attention to detail. You check your work, notice inconsistencies and understand that small errors can delay an approval or create a bigger problem.

- Comfort with numbers. You can work with income figures,

percentages and payment calculations, and you're willing to develop your financial knowledge.

- Respect for rules and confidentiality. Automotive finance involves sensitive personal information and financial, legal and industry requirements. Following the process accurately is an essential part of the job.

- Organization and follow-through. You can manage multiple customer files, document conversations and complete the next steps without constant reminders.

- Coachability and sound judgment. You welcome feedback, follow direction and ask questions when something is unclear.

- Drive and resilience. You're willing to pick up the phone, handle objections and keep following up professionally.

Automotive experience can be taught. We're looking for curiosity, integrity, communication skills and the discipline to put training into practice. What you can expect:

- A guaranteed annual base salary of $40,000–$45,000, depending on experience, plus commission.

- Company-generated customer inquiries. No Cold Calling Required.

- Structured scripts, processes and hands-on coaching.

- Direct support from an experienced finance director.

- Opportunities to take on more responsibility as you demonstrate your skills.

- Full Company Advantages

- Training to become well versed in Automotive Finance

This is an active, phone-based role with clear expectations for follow-up, accuracy and results. You'll need persistence, empathy and the confidence to keep a conversation moving.

At DRIVEN, we help people take their next step toward a vehicle. This could be your next step, too.
