About the role
Every installed Energy Router measures what happens at its site, all day. That data is how we show results to customers and utilities, and how we decide what to build next. It arrives messy. Sites differ, equipment reports in different ways, and connections are not perfect. You will build the pipelines and checks that turn it into data people can trust. You will decide how it is stored, cleaned and served, and you will work with the people who use it. When a number leaves this company, it should come from systems you built.
What you'll own
- Pipelines that move measurement data from installed units to where it is used
- Data quality: gaps, duplicates, clock drift and bad readings caught before anyone relies on them
- How measurement data is stored, modeled and served to the product and the team
- Clean measurement data that analysis and product features can build on
What you'll bring
- Experience building and running production data pipelines
- Strong Python and SQL
- Experience with time-series data at volume
- The habit of checking data before trusting it
Nice to have
- Experience with sensor or electrical measurement data
- Experience with data from connected hardware
- A background in power systems or energy data
What success looks like in the first 6 months
- Data from every installed unit lands complete and checked, with no manual cleanup
- The team answers a question about a site in minutes, from data it trusts
- At least one current measure goes from raw data to something a customer sees
Who you'll work with
You will work with the engineering team and with the people who analyze results and support customers. The team is small, so you will own decisions that a larger company would split across several roles.
Compensation
Canada: C$100,000 - C$145,000
United States: US$145,000 - US$195,000
