Google Ads Account ManagerEberhard Media Marketing Agency

Remote | Full-time

About UsEberhard Media Marketing Agency specializes in Google Ads management for service businesses and e-commerce brands. We help our clients generate qualified leads, acquire customers, and grow through campaigns built around their business goals.

We’re looking for a Google Ads Account Manager who wants to develop their skills in campaign management and client communication. You’ll work directly with our founder, John Eberhard, who has managed $20 million in advertising spend, and receive training on our approach to managing campaigns, reporting results, and supporting clients.

About the RoleYou’ll begin by supporting account management tasks, joining client calls, drafting updates, and learning our processes alongside John. As your skills and confidence develop, you’ll gradually take responsibility for a portfolio of approximately 8–10 Google Ads accounts and their routine client communication.

Training and account handoffs will be paced around your progress, with continued support on strategy and more complex situations.

Your primary focus will be managing and improving Google Ads campaigns. You’ll also help keep clients informed, participate in onboarding, and make sure questions and requests receive timely follow-up.

This role combines analytical work, organization, and communication. We’re looking for someone interested in learning how to investigate campaign performance, recommend thoughtful next steps, and explain their work clearly to business owners.

Who This Role Is Best ForThis role is a good fit for someone early in their digital marketing career who has started learning Google Ads and wants to build practical experience with guidance from an experienced agency founder.

You may have completed Google Ads training, helped manage a few campaigns, or worked in a marketing support role and be ready to take the next step.

You’ll likely enjoy this opportunity if you:

- Want direct mentorship. You’re excited to work closely with the founder, ask questions, receive feedback, and apply what you learn.
- Enjoy both numbers and people. You’re interested in understanding campaign performance and helping business owners understand their results.
- Like working on a small team. You value direct communication, clear responsibilities, and seeing how your work contributes to the business.
- Want to grow into greater responsibility. You’re looking to develop the skills and judgment to manage accounts and client relationships with increasing independence.

What You’ll DoYou’ll learn these responsibilities through training, practice, and feedback, taking greater ownership as you demonstrate that you’re ready.

Google Ads Management

- Help build, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns according to client goals and agency standards.
- Conduct keyword research,

organize campaigns and ad groups, write ad copy, and maintain negative keyword lists.
- Monitor account spending and budget pacing, making adjustments within approved plans.
- Review search terms, targeting, bidding, and campaign performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Learn to evaluate the metrics relevant to each business, including qualified leads, cost per acquisition, sales, and return on ad spend.
- Help check conversion tracking, flag discrepancies, and coordinate fixes when needed.
- Document meaningful account changes, testing priorities, and next steps.

Client Communication and Reporting
- Draft and send weekly client updates covering performance, work completed, and upcoming priorities.
- Respond to routine questions for your assigned accounts, with guidance as you learn.
- Prepare for and participate in monthly performance calls as needed, gradually taking the lead with support.
- Learn to explain campaign performance in language a business owner can understand.
- Gather client feedback about lead quality, sales, promotions, and business changes.
- Bring sensitive concerns, requests outside the agreed scope, and significant strategic decisions to John.

Onboarding and Coordination
- Join onboarding calls to understand new clients’ businesses, goals, services, products, and expectations.
- Help collect account access, assets, and information needed to launch or take over campaigns.
- Track onboarding tasks and follow up on outstanding items.
- Help organize client-related emails, answer straightforward questions, and route requests about other accounts to the appropriate team member.
- Keep client requests and internal tasks organized so commitments are followed through.

What We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for someone with a basic understanding of Google Ads who wants to develop their skills in campaign management and client communication.

The qualities we value most are:

- A basic understanding of Google Ads. You should be familiar with concepts such as keywords, campaigns, ad copy, budgets, and conversions. That foundation can come from courses, certifications, personal projects, internships, or previous work.
- Clear, professional communication. You can write thoughtful emails, explain ideas clearly, and ask valuable questions. We’ll help you learn how to discuss campaign performance and communicate effectively with clients.
- Organization and attention to detail. You keep track of tasks, follow up on requests,

and pay attention to the details that affect the quality of your work.
- Comfort working with numbers. You’re willing to review performance data, look for changes, and learn how to turn what you find into useful next steps.
- A willingness to learn and apply feedback. You’re open to being coached, following established processes, and improving through practice.
- Initiative and positive judgment. You take action on what you understand, flag issues early, and ask for help when something is unfamiliar.
- Reliability and follow-through. You meet deadlines, stay responsive during agreed working hours, and communicate when you need support.

You don’t need years of agency experience or a history of managing large advertising budgets. We’re looking for a solid foundation, a professional approach, and someone motivated to put in the work to become a strong Google Ads account manager. Helpful Additional ExperienceThe following are helpful, but not required:
- Exposure to lead generation campaigns for service businesses.
- Experience with e-commerce, Shopping campaigns, Performance Max, or Google Merchant Center.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, or call-tracking tools.
- Experience using GoHighLevel, Slack, or similar tools.
- Previous work in customer service, client support, or project coordination.

What You Can Expect
- Direct collaboration with the agency founder.
- Training and feedback on Google Ads management and client communication.
- A gradual transition into account ownership as your skills develop.
- Clear responsibilities and support when you encounter unfamiliar situations.
- Opportunities to contribute ideas and help improve how we manage accounts and serve clients.
- Room to take on greater responsibility as you demonstrate consistent performance and sound judgment.

What Success Looks LikeEarly on, success means learning our processes, completing tasks accurately, asking thoughtful questions, and applying feedback.

As you develop, success means your accounts receive consistent attention, your clients understand what’s happening, and your commitments are followed through. Over time, you’ll handle more routine campaign management and client communication independently while knowing when to bring in support.

How to ApplyApply through LinkedIn with your resume and a brief introduction covering:

- Your experience or training with Google Ads, including any courses, certifications, projects, or previous work.
- Any experience communicating with customers, organizing projects, or managing responsibilities.
- Why you’re interested in learning Google Ads management and working directly with clients.

If you have a relevant project or example of your work, feel free to include it. A professional campaign portfolio is not required.
