Shape urgent and primary care through physician leadership, quality improvement, and clinical standards at Vernon Silver Star UPCC.

As Site Medical Director, you provide medical oversight while maintaining regular clinical service in the UPCC group service contract. You collaborate with the UPCC Manager, Primary Care Network leadership, physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, allied health, and Indigenous health partners. The position supports service integration, workforce planning, and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Promote clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Advise nurse practitioners and other clinical team members
- Support physician recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and engagement
- Coordinate EMR and billing orientation with the UPCC Manager




- Represent the UPCC with CPSBC and Interior Health Medical Affairs

Requirements:
- Maintain active clinical practice at the Vernon Silver Star UPCC
- Meet applicable CPSBC requirements for clinic settings
- Participate in physician performance evaluation processes
- Support provisional-licensure physician supervision as required
- Contribute to continuing medical education and professional development

Use clinical leadership and cooperative practice to strengthen physician engagement, quality care, and integrated UPCC services.
