This Sourcing Buyer works collaboratively with Procurement colleagues, business stakeholders, operations, leadership, and suppliers. The position develops category strategies, runs RFX events, analyzes costs, and supports vendor negotiations. It also uses ARIBA and SAP platforms, with exposure to Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement strategic sourcing strategies collaboratively
- Develop source plans for key spend categories
- Run transparent RFX events and facilitate bids
- Participate in vendor negotiations and contract development
- Manage supplier relationships and purchase order processing
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business or Engineering preferred
- Two to three years Strategic Sourcing or Procurement experience
- Superior analytical skills for insights and recommendations
- Robust communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP experience is an asset
