Lead end-to-end UX research at MaintainX, using qualitative and quantitative methods to guide an AI-first product. Work with product teams across functions.

As a Principal Design Researcher, you will understand users’ behaviors, needs, and motivations across complex operational contexts. You will turn research into actionable product decisions through close partnership with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and leadership. Your work will support maintenance technicians, facility managers, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own research scoping, planning, recruiting, sessions, synthesis, and presentations
- Translate complex findings into narratives and actionable recommendations
- Conduct site visits, interviews, and hands-on user observation




- Champion customer empathy through storytelling and research read-outs
- Use AI tools for tagging and pattern synthesis

Requirements:

- Six or more years of UX research experience
- Qualitative and quantitative research methodology expertise
- Ability to scope ambiguous problems into research plans
- Experience influencing product direction through presentations
- Expert spoken and written English proficiency
