We are currently recruiting for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join a major public sector procurement partnership, supporting multiple local authorities across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior procurement skilled to lead high-value, strategic procurement projects, drive commercial efficiencies and influence senior stakeholders across a complex, multi-partner environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic procurement plans across major spend categories (Health & Social Care, Assets &Infrastructure; and Corporate & Business
- Lead complex, high-value procurement projects, including contracts worth 50m- 100m.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders, directors and partner organisations to deliver commercial objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve value for money, efficiency and service delivery.
- Lead tendering and contract management activity, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and regulations.
- Drive social value through procurement initiatives.
- Lead, coach and develop a small team of procurement professionals.
- Deliver innovative procurement strategies and collaborative projects across partner councils.
