Build AI-native data platforms at CircleCI using Go, ClickHouse, and distributed systems expertise. Work on systems serving historical and analytical workloads.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Query team, you will shape storage and access for CircleCI pipeline, job, and test data. You will design schemas, tune queries, and build reliable ingestion through event streams and Temporal workflows. Your work supports product teams and public APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Harden ClickHouse storage for production-scale historical data
- Design schemas for known and emerging access patterns
- Build ingestion pipelines using event streams and Temporal
- Develop indexing, caching, and tiered storage
- Lead architecture decisions for complex data systems

Requirements:

- Five or more years building production backend systems
- Robust Go or comparable-language backend experience
- Experience with ingestion pipelines or analytical datastores
- Understanding of idempotency, backpressure, and failure recovery
- Daily use of AI tools in engineering practice
