Lead responsible AI governance for the City of North Vancouver, shaping enterprise data, analytics, and GIS transformation from an ethical foundation.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this Director provides enterprise leadership across AI, data, analytics, and GIS. The mandate includes governance, strategy, strategic advice, service delivery improvement, and organizational capability. Partnerships span executive leaders, departments, Information Technology Services, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain responsible AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Lead enterprise AI, Data and Analytics Strategy development
- Advise executives on innovation, emerging technologies, and transformation
- Lead analytics, business intelligence, open data,



and GIS initiatives
- Build AI literacy, data literacy, and continuous improvement capabilities

Requirements:

- Ten or more years of senior leadership experience
- Five or more years of AI experience
- Experience leading enterprise transformation and organizational change
- Robust knowledge of AI, analytics, GIS, and emerging technologies
- Understanding of privacy, security, ethics, and regulatory considerations
