POSITION SUMMARY

Eastside Industrial Coatings & Composites is looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to join our tooling team.

This position involves building and fabricating fiberglass molds used in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, using power tools, and building things with attention to detail.

This position is a full-time, hourly paid position, which enjoys many benefits, such as a Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4: 30 pm schedule, with both day and evening shifts available, an amazing complement of employee benefits and deferred profit-sharing

**TRANSPORTATION: All Applicants must have a way to get to and from our facility, as there is no public transportation available.**





BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE POSITIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assist with building and fabricating fiberglass molds and tooling.
- Apply and shape sheet wax to prepare molds for fabrication.
- Use grinders, sanders, drills, saws, and other hand and power tools.
- Cut, shape, sand, and finish materials to required dimensions.
- Assist with fiberglass layup and resin application.
- Build wooden frames, supports, and other tooling structures.
- Prepare mold surfaces for fiberglass application.
- Follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

- Previous experience working with fiberglass or composite materials.
- Experience with fiberglass layup, resins, gelcoats, or mold fabrication.
- Experience in carpentry, fabrication, automotive bodywork, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with sanding, grinding, and finishing surfaces.

QUALIFICATIONS, WORK CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
- Good mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Able to multitask.
- Willingness to have flexible work hours when needed to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain all quality standards in accordance with the specifications for each job in order to meet customer requirements
- Takes initiative and is a self-starter.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time, work independently with minimal supervision, and resolve conflicts in a skilled manner.
- Maintains open communication and a team-oriented work setting with all departments and all levels of personnel.
