Shortline Moving Solutions Inc and Greg’s Tilt Deck Services are trusted providers of moving, transportation and specialized hauling services. We operate a diverse fleet of semi-trucks, semi-trailers ( flat decks, step decks,dry vans ), 5-ton trucks, cube vans and tilt deck trucks / trailers.

We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-conscious Tilt Deck Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal

candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate professionalism, and help us maintain our commitment to providing safe, reliable, and exceptional service to our customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Tilt Deck Truck Driver with Greg’s Tilt Deck Services, you will be responsible for safely transporting, delivering and picking up machinery, equipment and cargo throughout Winnipeg and across Manitoba.

This position involves operating Tilt Deck Trucks, safely loading and unloading various types of equipment, properly securing loads, and ensuring deliveries and pickups are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Drivers will travel to a variety of locations, including construction sites, commercial properties, industrial facilities, equipment yards and customer locations. The role requires solid attention to safety, excellent time management and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional communication with customers and dispatch.

Applicants with either a Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence are welcome to apply. Qualified Class 1 drivers may also have opportunities to operate additional commercial vehicles depending on operational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





● Safely operate tilt deck trucks and other commercial vehicles within the driver’s licence qualifications.

● Load, secure, transport and unload machinery, equipment and other loads.

● Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

● Ensure all loads are properly secured in accordance with applicable regulations.

● Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers and team members.

● Follow company safety policies and transportation regulations.

● Keep assigned equipment clean and in good operating condition

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

● Valid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s licence with an air brake endorsement.

● Satisfactory driver’s abstract and a safe driving record.

● Previous experience operating Tilt Deck Trucks, Flatbeds or other commercial vehicles is preferred.

● Experience transporting machinery, construction equipment or oversized cargo is considered an asset.

● Knowledge of proper load securement techniques, including use of chains, binders and straps.

● Understanding of hydraulic systems is considered an asset.

● Time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pickups and deliveries efficiently.

● Good communication and customer service skills.

Note:



Previous Tilt Deck or Commercial Driving is an asset but not mandatory for candidates willing to learn.
