Hiring Embroidery Production Assistant

Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic, proactive Embroidery Production Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you have been the move throughout the shift supporting multi-head Tajima embroidery machines handling applique placement, prepping materials, and keeping runs moving smoothly alongside our experienced operators.

This is an active, high-tempo production floor that requires self-starters who take initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do. No hooping experience is required; our senior operators handle framing and machine setup. We are looking for an organized team player with sharp eyes, physical endurance, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

· Precision Placement: Manually align and place pre-cut laser letters, numbers, and patches onto garments during run stops with exacting precision and visual straightness.

· Component Staging & Adhesive Prep: Transport component trays to the spray booth to apply temporary adhesive backing prior to placement on garments.

· Active Machine Monitoring: Continually patrol 3 to 4 active multi-head machines; spot thread breaks or sudden head stoppages immediately and take action or alert lead operators.

· Garment Handling: Efficiently load, stage, and offload garments and headwear from embroidery frames to keep turnaround times fast.

· Basic Line Maintenance: Assist with routine thread color changes, bobbin replacements, and needle swaps as needed.

· Quality Control & Organization: Inspect finished stitches (zig-zag and satin) for loose threads, skipped stitches, or misalignment while keeping work trays and work areas orderly.

· Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to read production tickets, report machine stoppages, and collaborate smoothly with operators and supervisors.





· Organization & Teamwork: Orderly habits to keep component trays and materials organized; dependable team player attitude.

· Visual & Spatial Acuity: Strong near-vision and steady hand dexterity for accurate letter and number alignment.

· Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work between two adjacent facility locations or cross-train in adjacent production areas.

· Experience: 6+ months in commercial embroidery, garment decorating (screen printing, heat press, sewing), or fast-paced assembly preferred. Reliable candidates with solid dexterity and work ethic will be trained.

· Punctuality: Dependable attendance with the ability to consistently report on time for the 7:55 AM shift start.

What A Typical Day Looks Like:

You will report for the shift at 7:55 AM (Monday to Friday) ready to keep multi-head embroidery lines moving smoothly across our primary facility and adjacent building. Throughout the day, you will transport component trays, prep adhesive backing, and manually align pre-cut letters, numbers, and patches onto garments during run stops with high visual precision. You will actively patrol 3 to 4 multi-head machines to catch thread breaks or stoppages immediately, while supporting senior operators with garment loading/offloading, basic thread changes, and quality checks on finished stitching. You will work closely with your supervisor and operators to keep trays organized, work areas tidy, and production flowing on schedule until shift completion at 4:25 PM.

Primary facility (with flexibility to work between our two adjacent buildings as needed)

Qualifications:

· Physical Fitness & Stamina: Ability to stand, briskly walk, and move continuously between machines across an entire 8-hour shift in an active, fast-paced production environment.

· Proactive Mindset: High personal initiative; comfortable anticipating production needs without waiting to be told what to do

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
