We’re looking for an experienced Red Seal Automotive Service Technician with strong diagnostic skills and the ability to perform a wide range of mechanical repairs. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, can handle complex repairs independently, and works effectively with a busy service team.

Key Responsibilities and Required Abilities

- Engine diagnostics and repair: Diagnose engine concerns, misfires, overheating, fluid leaks, and performance issues. Perform compression and leak-down testing, timing belt and chain replacements, head gasket repairs, internal engine repairs, and engine removal and replacement.
- Steering and suspension: Inspect and replace ball joints, control arms, tie rods, wheel bearings, bushings, shocks, struts, and related front-end components.
- Brake systems: Diagnose and repair hydraulic brake systems, ABS concerns, calipers, rotors, pads, brake lines, and parking brakes.
- Transmission and drivetrain: Diagnose transmission and driveline concerns, perform servicing and component replacement, and repair or replace clutches, CV axles, driveshafts, differentials, and transfer cases.
- Electrical diagnostics: Read wiring diagrams and use scan tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot wiring, sensors, starting and charging systems, and electronic control systems.
- Cooling systems: Diagnose overheating and coolant leaks; repair or replace radiators, water pumps, thermostats, hoses, and related components.
- Fuel, ignition, and exhaust systems: Diagnose and repair fuel delivery issues, ignition faults, intake leaks, exhaust leaks,



and emissions-related concerns.
- Heating and air conditioning: Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems using appropriate equipment and procedures.
- Wheel alignments and tires: Perform wheel alignments, tire installation and balancing, and diagnose vibration, handling, and uneven tire wear.
- Maintenance and inspections: Complete oil changes, fluid services, tune-ups, pre-purchase inspections, and comprehensive vehicle inspections.
- Repair documentation and quality control: Clearly record findings, recommend necessary repairs, communicate with the service team, and verify completed work through testing and road tests.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safe, environmentally responsible shop practices.

Qualifications

- Red Seal certification as an Automotive Service Technician.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Ability to complete both routine maintenance and complex mechanical repairs independently.
- Solid attention to detail, sound troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to getting repairs right.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with the service team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
