About the Job:
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a dependable Unloader (Casual)! We’re looking for a motivated individual to efficiently unload shipments and ensure smooth warehouse operations. This physically demanding role requires stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The AM shift begins at 4:00 AM, and candidates must have reliable personal transportation, as public transit is unavailable at this time. Starting pay is $21.50/hour, with a step rate progression up to $28.66/hour.
Location: 4215 Commerce Cir, Victoria, BC V8Z 6N6
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 04:00 AM – 07:30 AM
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Unload shipments from trucks and containers, verifying item accuracy and condition.
- Sort and organize products for storage or distribution while following safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks to transport large pallets and materials efficiently.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to maintain a secure and productive environment.
- Collaborate with teammates to meet daily operational targets and deadlines.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any issues promptly.
- Embrace a quick-paced shift that doubles as a great cardio workout!
Qualifications
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus.
- Knowledge of Greater Victoria is an advantage for sorting incoming freight.
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
