About AVI Design

AVI Design is a luxury smart home and AV integration company and a Savant Elite Ambassador. We design and install lighting control, shading, AV, security, access control and networking for high end residential projects across Toronto, the GTA and Muskoka, working closely with architects, builders and design professionals.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Service Technician to own service and warranty calls, keep our client networks performing, and support our installation and programming teams. You will be the on-site expert our clients trust once their home is complete.

What You Will Do

- Respond to service and warranty calls, diagnose issues and resolve them on site
- Configure, deploy and troubleshoot Araknis and Netgear switches, routers and Wi-Fi, including VLANs, QoS and network segmentation
- Support Savant and Lutron HomeWorks systems, with working knowledge of Crestron and Control4
- Complete preventative maintenance visits and system health checks
- Assist with installation phases, including pre wire, trim and rack builds




- Support Savant programming and Lutron HomeWorks commissioning
- Document every visit and communicate outcomes to our Client Concierge and Project Liaison
- Represent AVI Design with polish in clients' homes, and care for company assets, including your company phone and computer

What You Bring

- Hands on Araknis and/or Netgear experience (required)
- 3+ years in home automation, AV integration or low voltage work
- Savant and/or Lutron HomeWorks experience preferred
- Araknis certification and CEDIA certification preferred, CompTIA Network+ an asset
- Comfort diagnosing problems independently in a service environment
- Professional presence, solid communication and respect for client homes
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Bilingual English and French is an asset

Pay: $24.34-$38.00 per hour
