Job Description
- To complete and ensure resident’s health assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate,
up to date and changes communicated as required
- Assist the Health & Wellness manager to facilitate resident’s move in, move out and transfers
- To provide medication/ treatment administration and document care in compliance with RHRA, policies and procedures
- To process physician orders and safe keeping of drugs and narcotics, administer in compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures
- To plan, coordinate, manage & evaluate the resident’s care plan working with the resident/substitute decision maker, physicians and contracted service providers
- To respond and manage medical emergencies; provide emergency first aid; respond to significant changes in resident’s condition on occasion as required
- To teach, delegate, and direct Personal Support Workers
- To coordinate emergency response in the absence of Health & Wellness Manager
- To respond to resident & family concerns and ensure appropriate action taken and or concern/s communicated to Health & Wellness Manager and other departments
- To follow and assist in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of Infection Prevention and Control, Health & Safety and Clinical Programs for the Nursing Department
