In this role, you will protect people and property, help prevent incidents and provide professional service to our clients, employees and visitors. Whether you are conducting a patrol, assisting a visitor or responding to a concern, your judgment and communication will make a difference.

What You Will Do

- Maintain a visible, professional and approachable security presence at your assigned site.
- Conduct regular patrols to identify suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage and other concerns.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify access authorization, and maintain visitor and contractor records.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms and access control systems, reporting unusual activity promptly.
- Help prevent theft, loss and unauthorized access by following site procedures and reporting potential risks.
- Respond calmly to alarms, disturbances and security incidents, using communication and de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations.




- Contact supervisors or emergency services when required and support evacuations and emergency procedures.
- Provide first aid within the scope of your training and certification.
- Write clear, factual incident reports and maintain accurate patrol logs, daily activity records and shift handover notes.
- Assist visitors, employees and clients with directions and security-related questions in a courteous manner.
- Follow site post orders, company policies and applicable legal requirements while protecting confidential information.
- Safeguard assigned keys, access cards, radios and other equipment.

What You Bring

- A valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, maintained throughout employment and carried while on duty.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada.
- Strong observation skills and the confidence to recognize and report concerns.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, including accurate report writing.
- A calm, respectful approach to conflict and the ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional appearance.
- The ability to work independently while keeping supervisors and colleagues informed.
- Basic comfort using smartphones, email and digital reporting tools.




- Availability for the advertised schedule and reliable transportation to your assigned site.
- The ability to perform essential duties, including standing, walking and patrolling, with accommodation where required.

Experience That Would Be an Asset

Previous experience in security, customer service, concierge services or loss prevention would be helpful. Familiarity with CCTV, access control systems, electronic patrol reporting or de-escalation techniques is also an asset.

Newly licensed guards who can demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

For mobile patrol positions, an appropriate valid driver’s licence and an acceptable driving record are required.

Working Environment

Assignments may include indoor and outdoor duties, interaction with the public and extended periods of standing or walking. Depending on the site, shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays.
