Modena is looking for an experienced Floor Preparation & Self-Leveling Installer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and leveling subfloors to ensure they are ready for the installation of tile, hardwood, carpet, and other flooring materials. This hands-on role uses construction tools and practical building skills to support quality flooring work from preparation through finishing.
Duties
- Inspect and prepare floor surfaces, removing debris and addressing uneven areas before installation.
- Measure, mix, and apply self-leveling compounds according to project plans and product instructions.
- Use hand tools to complete flooring installation and tile laying tasks, including cutting, fitting, grinding and finishing materials.
- Read blueprints, maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
- Your impact: Careful preparation helps the installation team deliver durable, even floors.
- Prepare concrete subfloors for flooring installation.
- Ensure surfaces are smooth, level, and ready for flooring installation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in floor preparation and self-leveling applications.
- Experience using concrete grinders and mixing equipment.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and physically capable of construction work.
- Clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints and project instructions support consistent results.
- Preferred: Construction experience, flooring installation, tile laying, blueprint reading, carpentry, caulking, or handyman experience will help you contribute across diverse preparation and finishing tasks.
