Qualifications - Cocoa Warehouse Facility

- Prior warehouse or general labour experience is helpful
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Basic computer skills to enter container numbers into an inventory system
- Good attention to detail when checking container numbers against manifests
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs on your own, and up to 150 lbs with a coworker
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a loud, dusty plant with strong odours and exposure to outdoor temperatures
- Willing to wear a fall arrest system, hearing protection, goggles, and other PPE as required
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months, with the possibility of extension and permanent employment
- Pay Rate: $20/hr
- Hours: Full time, [shift TBC], with overtime and weekends available as needed

Nice to Have:

- Warehouse experience in a food or bulk product facility
- Experience working at heights with a fall arrest system
- Experience using an inventory management system

Responsibilities:Bag Cutters support warehouse production by receiving incoming cocoa shipments and preparing product for cleaning. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Prepare the intake line hopper area to receive cocoa for cleaning
- Enter container numbers into the inventory management system
- Verify container numbers match shipping manifests
- Receive bulk and bagged cocoa shipments, cut seals or sacks, and dispense product into the hopper
- Shake out bags and sacks to collect leftover cocoa beans




- Load and unload pallets and throw cocoa sacks onto the receiving deck as needed
- Help clean and empty containers of rejected product
- Clean the intake area by sweeping, shoveling, and using a blowing machine at the end of each job or shift
- Follow all quality procedures and report any issues to management
- Assist with general clean-up and other duties as assigned

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:

- Prior warehouse or general labour experience is helpful but not required
- Experience in a physically demanding work environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with workplace safety and PPE requirements

We offer:

- $18.42/hr.
