Job Summary

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides attentive, person-centred nursing care, supports patients’ health and comfort, and communicates care needs with the wider team. The role applies sound clinical judgment while adapting support to each patient’s circumstances.

Responsibilities

- Assess patient needs, monitor changes in condition, and document care accurately.
- Provide patient care, administer medications, and support pain management in accordance with care plans and established procedures.
- Assist with phlebotomy and coordinate relevant care activities, sharing timely updates with colleagues.
- Support patients and families with explicit, compassionate communication, including in dementia, senior, hospice, pediatric, or home-care settings as applicable.
- Your impact: Clear handoffs help colleagues coordinate consistent, responsive patient care.

Skills

Required:



Practical nursing knowledge, patient-care skills, accurate documentation, medical terminology, medication administration, and clear communication support safe, coordinated care. Preferred: Nursing home, hospital, acute care, dementia care, pediatrics, home care, medical office, assisted living, senior care, hospice, laboratory, phlebotomy, pain management, case management, Epic, Cerner, and experience working with children can strengthen your contribution across varied care settings.

Pay: $26.45-$28.86 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
