Alberta Hardwood Flooring is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our Calgary team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2+ years of estimating or construction experience, or a motivated individual we can train who brings strong character, work ethic, and attention to detail.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, in-office environment alongside a friendly, experienced team, many of whom have been with us for over 10 years.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints and scopes of work
- Prepare accurate flooring estimates from scale drawings
- Work closely with customers’ estimating teams and internal project managers
- Communicate with product reps and clients to gather project details
- Track construction schedules and timelines

Requirements

- 2+ years of estimating or related experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and perform material takeoffs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills




- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Assets (Not Required)

- Experience with takeoff software (FloorRight, RFMS Measure, On-Screen, etc.)
- Knowledge of flooring products (hardwood, carpet, laminate, LVP/LVT, tile, Schluter systems)
- Understanding of material waste and layout planning

This is a full time, in-office position in Calgary. You’ll play a key role in setting projects up for success by delivering accurate, timely estimates and collaborating closely with both customers and internal teams.
