PEO Canada has been providing customized employer services to a wide variety of businesses for over 20 years. We provide our diverse clients with human resources consultation services and their Canadian employees with exceptional group advantages, retirement savings programs, workers’ compensation, and payroll services. Our teams are focused on, and empowered to create an exceptional experience for themselves, their teams and our valued client partners.

An open concept office, welcoming team, great benefits, fitness facilities, charitable hours exchange and regular in-office team building events are some hallmarks of our company culture. We believe in maintaining a strong work/life balance so that we have the resources and energy to work play at our fullest capacities. A true disconnect-from-work philosophy means that our team members do not have access to email outside of the office.

We take customer service seriously and know that our teammates are just as important as our clients. We strive for partnership and collaboration, and have committed to refocusing on these principles as we continue to grow and evolve. Our Leadership team supports and encourages those who are eager to learn, prioritizes promotion from within, and fosters an environment of open communication for our employees.

Our HR Specialists play a pivotal role in mentoring our client-focused teams with consistent quality service, a solution focused mindset and an ability to embrace change.

This is an ideal role for someone that possesses excellent customer service skills, the ability to trouble-shoot unique scenarios, and can navigate employment legislation and compliance requirements with confidence.

Our ideal candidate will have a collaborative mindset, enjoys working in a dynamic team environment and is able to think outside of the box.

Our business is based on the relationships we build with our customers, both internally and externally. If you have excellent communication skills, are able to think critically, apply sound judgment, and hold yourself accountable for acting ethically, we welcome your interest in this position.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

- Creating, modifying and reviewing of all employee related documentation;
- Developing employee policy and procedure handbooks;
- Advising clients on progressive discipline, performance management and termination procedures;
- Creating and revising job descriptions and assisting with job postings;
- Performing compensation analysis; and
- Providing clients with recommendations and information on current HR practices.
- Maintain current knowledge on provincial and federal employment legislation, human rights, contract law and best practices as they relate to the Human Resources field.

We are looking for candidates that have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in an HR focused position. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in Canadian Legislation including inter provincial Employment Standards and Human Rights is required. Completion of a post-secondary education in HR (or equivalent) from a recognized institution, and a current CPHR designation is required. Bilingual French/English language would be considered an asset.

Only candidates being considered for interviews will be contacted.
