Line Cook

Global Hire Placement Services is recruiting a Line Cook for an opportunity in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items at an assigned kitchen station while maintaining food quality, consistency, efficiency, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items at assigned kitchen stations, including grill, fryer, sauté, and preparation line.
- Complete food preparation and ingredient portioning before service.
- Follow standardized recipes, cooking instructions, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure orders are prepared accurately and served within required timeframes.
- Maintain appropriate food temperatures and follow safe food-handling procedures.
- Keep kitchen stations, equipment, utensils, and work surfaces clean and sanitized.
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Follow workplace health, safety, and food sanitation regulations.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.

Requirements





- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a commercial kitchen is an asset.
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and commercial kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Solid teamwork, organization, and time-management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Good English-speaking skills.

Work Authorization Preferences

- Canadian citizens, Permanent Residents, and candidates holding an Open Work Permit are highly preferred.
- Candidates with English proficiency and Francophone eligibility are also preferred.
- French speaking and listening proficiency at NCLC level 5 or above is an advantage.
