We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of the House to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining workplace. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. As a Front of the House, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience through attentive service, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of our menu offerings.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including specials and promotions, to enhance guest experience.
- Upsell additional items to increase sales while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation efforts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Assist in training new staff members on restaurant protocols and service standards.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS,
Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is highly desirable and Touch Bistro is optional
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated during busy shifts.
