About the Opportunity
Our client, an established independent financial services practice, is looking for an experienced Client Relationship Manager to become the advisor’s right hand. You’ll run the day-to-day client service and administration of the practice so the advisor can stay focused on client meetings, relationships, and growth.
This is a role for someone who likes ownership. You’ll work independently in a small, fast-moving environment where your judgment, organization, and initiative make a visible difference every day. This is a 12-month contract position with the potential to transition to a permanent, full-time role.
What You’ll Do
- Be the first point of contact for client service requests by phone and email, and see each one through to completion
- Manage the advisor’s calendar, booking and confirming client appointments and making sure the advisor is prepared for every meeting
- Run reports to spot upcoming policy, investment, and service renewals, then reach out to clients to book reviews
- Prepare and process service paperwork such as claims, beneficiary changes, banking updates, and address changes, and track signatures, requirements, and submissions
- Recognize client needs and potential opportunities during service conversations and pass them to the advisor
- Support business development with Excel updates, PowerPoint presentations, and client materials
- Keep client records, documentation, and follow-up systems accurate and current
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and third parties until every matter is resolved
- Find ways to streamline workflows and use technology and automation to work smarter
What You Bring
Required Experience
- A minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a life insurance carrier or financial institution.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities,
deadlines, and follow-ups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including skilled and confident communication by phone and email.
- Highly detail-oriented and accurate, with a strong commitment to following tasks through to completion.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently, with the ability to anticipate what needs to be done rather than waiting for direction.
- Strong client-service mindset and the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients.
- A high standard of discretion and confidentiality, including a commitment to protecting clients’ personal and financial information in line with privacy legislation and the firm’s compliance procedures.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new systems, processes, and industry requirements.
- Comfortable working in a small business environment where priorities can change and individual contributions have a meaningful impact.
- Demonstrated curiosity about new technology and an interest in finding practical ways to work smarter and more efficiently.
Preferred But Not Essential Experience
- Working knowledge of life insurance service processes, carrier requirements, and common policy administration requests.
- Life insurance licence (LLQP), or willingness to obtain one. Any licensed activity must remain within the individual’s authorization and the firm’s compliance procedures.
- Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, or other technology to improve administrative processes and workflows.
- Familiarity with industry tools such as APEXA.
- Bookkeeping experience.
Why Apply?
- Meaningful ownership of the service and operations side of a growing practice
- Direct, close working relationship with the advisor
- Room to shape processes and introduce new tools
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
