Job Overview
The Dispatcher is a key role within Delivery Tech and is responsible for managing the flow of goods and services within Delivery Tech’s supply chain. The Dispatcher will coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities 1: Dispatching

- Complete morning shift tasks conducting visible inspection of yard, trucks and snow removal as needed.

- Manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring productive routing and scheduling of shipments.

- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and vendors to coordinate logistics and resolve any issues that may arise.

- Analyze shipping data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance service delivery.

- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

- Maintain accurate records of freight movements and documentation related to shipping activities.

- Reconcile freight in our warehouse, in our trucks, vs on our Dispatch app (Ontime 360), and their status.

- Load and unload small loads to entire trailer loads of freight as needed with forklift.

Key Responsibilities 2: Driver Administration

- Daily and random review of drivers completed BOLS, ensure drivers are collecting pictures, first and last names, pictures or their orders.

- Effectively monitor driver hours for safety and compliance with legislation, ensuring that drivers are taking resets when required and that their daily logs are in-line with hours-of-service legislation.

- Maintain a detailed record of the fleet, drivers, and their locations at-all-times.

- Develops long range plans to meet delivery schedule compliance.





- Monitor driver daily progress on deliveries via, phone conversations, GPS software and client feedback.

- Required to work split shifts 0630HRS-1430HRS for two weeks, and 1030HRS-1830HRS for two weeks.

Qualifications and Requirements

- High School diploma is required. A minimum of 3-5 years in a dispatching role specifically in a 3PL environment.

- 5 years with P&D; experience in the City of Edmonton with a delivery company with knowledge of Edmonton roads, buildings, bridges, and overpasses.

- Strong customer services skills with high level of phone etiquette.

- Forklift driver certificate is required; pallet jack experience and ability to handle freight.

- Ability to push and pull heavy pallets

- Effective verbal and written communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.

- Strong prioritization, multi-tasking, and time management skills to meet deadlines.

- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.

- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.

- Ability to make responsible decision in accordance with prescribed policies and regulations.

- Ability to learn and carry out complex assigned tasks.

- Exhibit strong personal values, integrity and hands-on work habits.

- Excellent computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office suite of business programs specifically dispatching software, Samara ELD, GPS software, Ontime 360.

- Above-average skills with Microsoft, especially Excel and ability to type 50 WPM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
