As a Loading Bay Shipper, primary job tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, organizing product prior to scheduled pickup times, assisting with local furniture delivers, and helping in the wrapping area as needed.

Responsibilities

- Organize packaged furniture within shipping aisles in preparation for scheduled pick-ups.
- Use a dolly or cart to move packaged furniture on and off the truck.
- Utilize safe lifting techniques when furniture must be stacked within delivery trucks, trailers, and containers. Work with a partner when needed.




- Assist delivery driver during deliveries to local dealers and during home deliveries.
- Perform 7-point security inspections on trailers & containers heading to the US.
- Keep workspace safe and tidy.
- Maintain the shipping bay area during inclement weather.
- Report faulty equipment, signs of pest contamination, trailers/containers with sealed compartments, unauthorized visitors, and other health, safety, and security concerns to the Shipping Supervisor immediately.

Requirements

- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Compensation and Benefits

(Benefits paid after completing the 90-day probationary period)

- $19.48 per hour
- 50% paid premiums for Extended Health, Dental, Life and AD&D;
