Wave Sports is currently hiring Badminton Coaches who enjoy teaching children and helping them develop their skills in a fun, safe and encouraging environment.
Location
- Fraser Heights, Surrey, BC
- South Surrey / White Rock, BC
Responsibilities
- Organize badminton programs for players aged 5 to 17.
- Ensure all classes run safely, smoothly.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding participant progress, attendance, and behavior.
Requirements
- Proof of experience coaching badminton or have a strong background as a competitive university-level badminton player.
- Experience working with minors is strongly preferred.
- Ability to teach proper badminton techniques, footwork, and game strategies.
- CPR and First Aid certification are considered an asset but are not required.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to commute between program locations.
- Minimum 5 years of badminton coaching and/or competitive playing experience.
- Availability to work weekends and/or weekday evenings between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
Schedule
- Part time
- Weekday evenings (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
- Weekends
- Available to work 1 to 5 days per week, with sessions typically lasting 2 to 4 hours
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.
