Job Summary

5911 Hair & Beauty Bar Maple Ridge is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Esthetician to provide professional skin care and beauty services, including facials, waxing, threading, eyebrow shaping, and other esthetic treatments. The successful candidate will assess clients’ skin care needs, recommend suitable treatments and products, maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation, and ensure a comfortable and professional client experience. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction while following salon policies and applicable health and safety standards. Canadian work experience is preferred, and education in a related field will be considered an asset.

- Provide professional skin care treatments, including facials, deep cleansing, exfoliation, facial massage, and hydrating treatments.
- Perform hair removal services, including threading, waxing, and other appropriate depilation techniques.
- Provide eyebrow shaping, facial hair removal, and other facial grooming services.
- Perform skin analysis and recommend suitable beauty treatments and skin care products based on clients’ needs.
- Provide aesthetic services such as face masks, skin polishing, and other non-medical skin care treatments.
- Perform body waxing and other permitted esthetic services in accordance with established procedures.




- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of treatment rooms, workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with applicable health and safety standards.
- Sterilize, disinfect, and properly store esthetic tools and equipment after each use.
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, assess their skin care needs, and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Explain treatment procedures, aftercare instructions, and recommended skin care routines to clients.
- Maintain client records, treatment details, and appointment schedules while protecting client confidentiality.
- Prepare treatment areas, products, and equipment before appointments and ensure a professional and comfortable client experience.
- Monitor inventory of esthetic supplies and notify management when products or materials need replenishment.
- Follow salon policies, hygiene protocols, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Promote salon services and recommend suitable treatments and retail skin care products to clients when appropriate.
- Deliver courteous, skilled customer service and maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized salon environment.

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
