Phylax Security is currently seeking professional, experienced, and highly dependable Security Guards for a potential long-term commercial property assignment in Kingston, Ontario.

We are looking for serious candidates who take pride in their work, maintain excellent attendance, and are interested in consistent, long-term employment.

The position involves providing a professional security presence at a multi-tenant commercial office property, assisting with access control, monitoring the premises, conducting patrols, and ensuring the safety and security of tenants, visitors, and staff.

Preference will be given to candidates based in Kingston or the surrounding area who can reliably attend scheduled shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor building entrances, access points, and common areas.
- Conduct routine interior, exterior, and parking garage patrols.
- Assist tenants, visitors, and contractors professionally.
- Identify and report suspicious activity or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
- Respond appropriately to alarms and emergencies.
- Follow site-specific procedures and management instructions.
- Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and communication.
- Ensure proper shift handovers and reliable attendance.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.
- Reliable transportation or a dependable commute to central Kingston.




- Ability to commit to a consistent schedule.
- Willingness to complete applicable background and employment screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in commercial building, condominium, concierge, or corporate security.
- Familiarity with electronic security reporting and patrol systems.
- Strong de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills.
- Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Candidates available for ongoing assignments and occasional relief coverage.
