Want patients, a modern practice, and none of the clinic overhead? Northstar Medical has the answer! Primary care and psychotherapy run together: a dedicated nurse practitioner for everyday medicine, and you for the therapy, booked in the same system and able to coordinate when a patient needs both. We bring the patients, the booking, the billing, and the platform. You keep 60% of every fee collected and stay free to practise elsewhere.

The work is fully virtual, the demand is province-wide, and the schedule grows with the book. One weekday to start, more as your panel fills. You shape a mental health service that already sits inside a primary care platform, instead of building a caseload from an empty waitlist.

Sessions are by video. Psychotherapy is private-pay and receipted for benefits. The patient must be in Ontario at the time of the visit. You may live elsewhere, as long as you are registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

The arrangement

- Independent contractor. You carry your own liability insurance and may work elsewhere.
- One weekday held for Northstar. Sessions are added as patients book. A second day is available once that day is consistently full.
- Session fee is $160 for 60 minutes, billed to the patient and receipted for extended health benefits.
- You receive 60% of fees collected, $96 a session. Northstar retains 40% for patient acquisition, intake, scheduling, billing,



and the platform.
- Equity in Northstar Medical is a separate opportunity we discuss with you as your practice here grows, so you can share in the value you help build, not only the fees you collect.
- No caseload minimum while the day is building.

What you will do

- Provide individual virtual psychotherapy to adults booked through Northstar.
- Complete intake review, the session, and a timely note in the platform.
- Stay within CRPO scope. Medication and medical emergencies stay with the primary care team.
- Flag risk and coordinate with the nurse practitioner when a patient needs medical follow-up.

What you bring

- Registered Psychotherapist in good standing with CRPO, authorized for independent practice.
- Current skilled liability insurance that covers virtual care.
- Experience with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and life transitions are assets.
- A private, secure space and a reliable connection for video sessions.
- Eligible to work in Canada.

RP (Qualifying) are not being considered at this time.

Apply with a resume and a short note covering your CRPO registration class, the weekday you can hold, and the approaches you use most. Registration will be confirmed on the CRPO public register before an offer.

Pay: $96.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1.0 – 8.0 per week
