Earth Drilling has provided environmental, geotechnical, oil sands, mining, civil construction, and water well drilling services to Western Canada since 1976.
We are currently looking for Driller’s Assistants to join our team.
The Driller’s Assistant is responsible for assisting the Driller with their duties while ensuring compliance with Earth Drilling Co Ltd. Policies and procedures.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Set-up and take down of drilling equipment
- Assisting in the secure operation of the drill process
- Completing safety paperwork and completing inspections of sites and equipment
- Using hand tools (shovel, pipe-wrench, chain-wrench, hammer, small hand tools, etc.)
- Setting and tripping pipe
- Core sample management
- Loading materials and equipment for each project as required
- Mobilizations and demobilizations of drilling equipment
- Loader/skid-steer/forklift operation in yard and field
- Washing Equipment
- Parts inventory & stock
- Fueling Equipment and vehicles
- Fuel supply management, tracking, and inventory
- Organization & inventory of tool/parts crib
- Shop, yard, office, and work area housekeeping
- Retrieving parts from suppliers
Qualifications:
- Good Physical ability
- Class 5 Drivers license or better (preference to Class 1 & 3 candidates)
- Current safety tickets (H2S, First Aid, Ground Disturbance) an asset but not required
- prepared to work outdoors in an energetic team environment.
- Steel-toed work boots, all other PPE and job specific training will be provided by the Company.
