Overview

Operate a ready-mix mixer truck to deliver concrete safely and reliably to construction sites. Coordinate with site teams, follow delivery instructions, and help keep work moving smoothly from dispatch through discharge.

Duties

- Safely maneuver ready-mix concrete trucks through complex construction sites, urban environments, and tight access points.
- Inspect concrete load upon batching to confirm correct slump, air entrainment, and visual specifications.
- Communicate with site superintendents and pump operators to coordinate safe and efficient discharge of material.
- Perform routine daily maintenance and visual checks on mixer drums, chutes, fluid levels, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform thorough end-of-day washdowns to eliminate concrete buildup on drums, chutes, and hoppers.
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting and reporting any mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or defects.
- Monitor and replenish job-essential fluids and supplies, including concrete admixtures, washdown water, and basic vehicle operating fluids.
- Familiar with conducting daily pre-trip/post-trip inspection checklists and performing basic vehicle fluid maintenance.





Requirements

- Valid commercial driver's license (Class 1 or Class 3 ).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating heavy commercial vehicles, preferably ready-mix trucks.
- Solid understanding of concrete slump adjustments, admixture handling, and drum wash routines.
- Excellent customer service skills and physical capability to handle heavy discharge chutes.
- Comfortable using digital on-board devices, tablets, and smartphones for dispatch updates, delivery tracking, and digital tickets.
- Standard requirement: Must provide a current Commercial Driver’s Abstract (3-year or 5-year) upon request or application.

- Clean Commercial Driver’s Abstract
- Valid First Aid / CPR Ticket
- Any additional safety certifications or relevant ready-mix experience

Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 50.0 per week
