We are looking for a Data Governance Consultant to support AI and data governance initiatives for a long-term contract opportunity based in Toronto, Ontario. In this role, you will help strengthen data quality, oversight, and delivery practices by working across governance, testing, and technical teams. The successful candidate will bring a balanced background in quality assurance, defect analysis, and technical collaboration to improve reliability across data and application environments.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with stakeholders to define and maintain data governance practices that support AI and analytics-related initiatives.
- Create, organize, and execute detailed test cases to validate system behaviour, data integrity, and functional outcomes.
- Track defects through their full lifecycle using tools such as Jira and HP ALM, ensuring timely follow-up and clear documentation.
- Work closely with backend and Android development teams to investigate issues, confirm fixes, and reduce recurring problems.
- Perform regression analysis to evaluate the impact of changes and protect existing functionality from unintended disruption.
- Support quality assurance activities by identifying risks, documenting findings, and recommending practical corrective actions.
- Contribute to bug tracking and defect management processes by maintaining accurate records, priorities, and status updates.
- Assist with A/B testing efforts by comparing outcomes, reviewing results, and helping teams make informed decisions based on evidence.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, QA analysis, or a related technical oversight role.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools, including Atlassian Jira and HP ALM.




- Strong knowledge of test case design, bug tracking, defect management, and regression analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with backend systems and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical development teams.
- Exposure to Android development environments and an understanding of application quality considerations.
- Experience supporting A/B testing, quality assurance processes, and issue resolution in complex delivery settings.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
