Major Responsibilities and Duties:

- Create memorable experiences with attentive service, product knowledge and a fun and friendly attitude
- Ensure all meeting rooms, breaks, meals are set up for the required time and to the proper standards
- Must be able to read a Banquet Event Order (BEO) for all set up and Food & Beverage requirements.
- Provide prompt, courteous and efficient food & beverage service for functions of 5 to 200 guests by serving the food and/or beverage in the order and to the expectation of the Captain and/or Manager to ensure consistency throughout the function.
- Promptly remove dishes as guests complete each course and/or meal at the end of the meal or function.
- Work as part of a team to provide a consistently high standard of service in areas such as meeting set ups and all meal functions
- Demonstrate professional and positive image to guests and colleagues at all times
- Effectively handle guest concerns and report any irregularities to management
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times




- Report any deficiencies in equipment or level of supplies to the Banquet Captain and/or Manager
- Ensure the proper maintenance and housekeeping of Banquet storage rooms, back spaces and functions spaces.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate levels of dry goods and items held for guests’ consumption.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
- Previous experience serving food is an asset
- Previous customer service experience is a must
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Able to pull or push up to 50 pounds on a cart
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling

Experience, Training and Education:

Must have pro Serve certification + 1 years of serving experience
