About the Clients:

We are seeking an experienced caregiver for elderly parents who are beginning to need support with daily activities. Both clients are culturally from India, speak both Hindi and English, and value warmth, generosity, and kindness. The father has hearing difficulties and uses hearing aids, which sometimes causes him to raise his voice during communication. They live independently but would benefit from proactive assistance to maintain their home and daily routines. This is an opportunity to build a long-term relationship with a family that values patience, cultural sensitivity, and genuine care.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and personal support to help clients maintain their independence and quality of life. Prepare light meals, snacks, and beverages throughout visits. Assist with light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, tidying, and organizing living spaces to help simplify their environment. Run errands such as grocery shopping and filling gas for the vehicle. Handle minor household tasks like turning off garden taps, adjusting window handles, and other small maintenance items that cause stress for the clients. Take initiative to identify and address needs without requiring constant direction. Help clients prepare for their day and ensure they have what they need for lunch and other meals.

What We're Looking For:

An experienced PSW with a proven track record of providing care to elderly clients over extended periods. Someone with exceptional patience and resilience, particularly when working with clients who have hearing difficulties. A self-starter who takes initiative and anticipates needs rather than waiting to be told what to do.



Cultural sensitivity and ideally familiarity with Indian culture, with Hindi language skills being a robust asset. A warm, generous, and kind temperament that will help build trust and comfort. Confidence in handling basic household tasks and problem-solving minor issues. Someone who understands this is the beginning of a long-term care relationship and can help ease the family into accepting support.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM (2 hours per visit, 6 hours per week).
