- Deliver food orders to customers promptly and safely while maintaining food quality and temperature.
- Verify orders for accuracy and completeness before leaving the restaurant.
- Follow assigned delivery routes and use GPS or navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries.
- Handle cash, debit, and credit card payments and provide correct change when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, payments, and customer transactions.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries.
- Respond politely to customer inquiries and report complaints or delivery issues to management.
- Follow all traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Maintain a valid driver's licence and meet applicable vehicle insurance requirements.
- Keep delivery bags and equipment clean and in positive condition.
- Assist with packing food orders, preparing delivery bags, and organizing takeout orders.
- Answer telephone calls and assist with taking customer orders when required.
- Help maintain cleanliness of the restaurant, including counters, workstations, and delivery areas.
- Assist kitchen and front-counter staff with general restaurant duties during non-delivery periods.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
- Report vehicle problems, accidents, delays, or delivery concerns to the restaurant manager immediately.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
