The successful Associate is a natural leader, helpful, knowledgeable, keeps up to date with the current industry trends and is customer service oriented. They have a passion for retail, combined with experience, that will enable them to lead others effectively, as well as to assist with managing store operations, merchandising, people development, and process improvement.

What are we looking for in this role?

- Someone who will provide prompt, courteous and efficient customer service
- Someone who will grow sales with existing customers and develop business with potential new customers




- Someone with practical knowledge of building material and lumber product (either from the home improvement industry or hands on experience)
- An individual who is able to communicate product knowledge and helps solve building problems.
- Demonstrates good mathematical skills, has prior retail experience working with POS systems
- An individual who is willing to work a versatile schedule, including Saturdays.
- Someone who has excellent communication skills
- Experience in the home improvement industry is advantageous.
- Able to handle physical work.
- Team player with attention to detail.
- Previous supervisory or management experience

Responsibilities will include:

- Collaborate with Owners and peers to achieve operational objectives.
- Create outstanding customer experiences, including resolving customer issues and concerns.
- Ensure operational excellence
- Uses creativity to build in store displays and increase store traffic
- Familiar with yard inventory
- Has a solid understanding of market pricing and provides recommendations to the owners, ensuring competitiveness.
