Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct processing of transactions including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Assist with food preparation, serving, and food safety protocols to maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple tables or stations during busy hours, ensuring prompt service
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, dining spaces,
and kitchen stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Support food industry best practices by handling food properly, practicing proper food handling techniques, and adhering to health standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of hospitality principles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for efficient cashiering and transaction processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle inquiries professionally
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and accurate order calculations
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus to support smooth restaurant operations
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales revenue
