ABOUT US:

Midwest Fencing, an ASSA ABLOY Company, is a trusted leader in the fencing industry, providing high-quality products, exceptional service, and innovative solutions to customers across Manitoba and beyond.

We are currently seeking an Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented qualified who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, and managing projects from quotation through execution. You'll play a key role in preparing accurate estimates, coordinating with customers and suppliers, and supporting the successful delivery of fencing projects.

Responsibilities

- Prepare estimates and quotations for fencing projects, including commercial, industrial, and specialty applications
- Review project requirements, specifications, and drawings to develop accurate and competitive pricing
- Manage projects through the full bid lifecycle, including scope review, quote preparation, submission, and follow-up
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and source project-specific materials
- Work closely with the production team to ensure estimates are practical, executable, and aligned with operational capacity
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and industry partners
- Assist with temporary fence inquiries, quotations, and project coordination
- Track opportunities and support project hand-off from estimate through installation and invoicing
- Conduct site visits as required to gather project information and support customer needs
- Participate in sales and team meetings, providing updates on bids, opportunities, and project status
- Other duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

- Previous estimating experience in construction, fencing, manufacturing, or a related industry is considered an asset
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities




- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently ad collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to build productive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Valid driver's licence and ability to attend occasional site visits
