Hours: Casual / Part-Time (Monday to Friday) with Scheduled Full-Time Weeks

About Us

We are a small catering company preparing fresh, nutritious meals on-site for daycare children.

The Role
We are seeking a reliable kitchen team member to support our chef.

The position will initially involve a few hours per week assisting with dishwashing, cleaning, and basic food preparation.

With training on our menu, recipes, and procedures, the successful candidate will take over meal preparation 1-2 full weeks each month.

Responsibilities:

- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and work areas.
- Assist with food preparation and daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook meals independently according to established recipes and menus.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and allergy protocols in a childcare setting.
- Receive, organize, and properly store food supplies.

Requirements

- Valid Food Handler Certificate.




- Previous cooking or commercial kitchen experience.
- Reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and responsible.
- Ability to follow recipes and established procedures.
- Comfortable working independently once trained.
- Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday, for approximately 1–2 weeks each month.
- Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Alberta Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification is an asset.
