Mackay Electrical & Construction is a growing electrical contractor specializing in commercial projects. We are looking for a motivated Journeyman Electrician who can take ownership of projects, lead a team, and work directly with clients.
Position Overview:
This is a leadership role for a Journeyman Electrician with strong commercial experience. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a crew on commercial job sites
- Coordinate daily work and ensure timelines are met
- Proactively order and manage materials on a weekly basis
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Communicate directly with clients, suppliers, and project managers
- Maintain job site safety and quality standards
- Assist with scheduling and overall project coordination
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician certification
- Strong commercial electrical experience
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team
- Experience coordinating materials and job planning
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
