We are seeking an active, dependable Construction Safety Officer (CSO) with an Occupational First Aid Level 3 (OFA 3) ticket to join our team on an active build in Squamish, BC.

This is strictly a boots-on-the-ground, active field role—not an office or trailer-only position. Working alongside and supporting the Lead CSO, you will spend the majority of your shift walking the site, completing active safety inspections, assisting with light safety-related site logistics, and providing first-aid coverage when needed.

A calm, level-headed communication style when collaborating with in office subtrades and crews is essential to maintaining a positive, compliant site culture.

Note: Open to candidates based in Squamish or Greater Vancouver

Key Responsibilities:

- Field Presence & Walkthroughs: Maintain high visibility across active decks and work areas, conducting daily site safety inspections and identifying potential hazards.
- Lead CSO Support: Partner closely with the Lead CSO to complete routine compliance tasks, toolbox briefings, and daily safety documentation.
- First Aid Coverage: Act as the designated on-site OFA 3 first aid attendant, responding promptly to injuries or medical incidents in full compliance with WorkSafeBC standards.
- Site Organization & Safety Labour: Perform light safety-related labour tasks, including hazard identification, safety signage setup, checking emergency equipment, and assisting with clear egress pathways.
- Trade Relations: Build rapport with diverse subtrades,



resolving site safety issues with a composed, professional, and de-escalating approach.
- Administration & Timesheets: Confidently complete incident logs, inspection sheets, and daily timekeeping (timesheets must be completed daily and submitted at the end of each week).

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

- Valid OFA 3 (Occupational First Aid Level 3) certification.
- Active Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or equivalent recognized certification.
- WHMIS 2015 certification.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working on active commercial, residential, or civil construction sites.
- Composed interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate firmly yet calmly with site trades.
- Comfortable with continuous walking, stairs, outdoor weather conditions, and light physical safety labour.
- Punctual and dependable attendance with reliable personal transportation to the job site in Squamish.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Candidates must arrive on site on day one fully equipped with:

- CSA-approved Steel Toe Work Boots
- Hard Hat
- Hi-Visibility Safety Vest
- Safety Glasses
- Work Gloves

Pay: From $33.00 per hour
