LifeSmart Medical is looking to hire a Medical Office Assistant for our growing company.

We are hiring for the following location:

1) LifeSmart Medical Osborne (2-230 Osborne St.)

The position will be fast paced and require the successful candidate to be very mobile. Efficiency and accuracy will be incredibly key for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Diagnostic testing

- Perform ECG/EKG testing, spirometry and other diagnostic tests once trained, following clinic protocols
- Prepare patients for testing, explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety
- Ensure test results are accurately recorded, labelled and uploaded to the patient chart for provider review
- Clean, maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment, and report any equipment issues

Patient care and clinical support

- Greet patients in a professional and welcoming manner
- Triage patients, including taking measurements and relevant vital signs (e.g., height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation)
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms for patients
- Assist providers with procedures and examinations as needed

Front desk and administration

- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Book, confirm and reschedule appointments and diagnostic tests
- Scan,



file and maintain patient records accurately and confidentially

Clinic operations

- Clean and disinfect exam rooms, procedure rooms and equipment following infection prevention and control practices
- Manage clinic stock, including monitoring inventory, restocking supplies and placing orders
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

- Medical Office Assistant certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling systems, particularly Accuro EMR
- Current CPR / BLS certification, or willingness to obtain

Preferred

- Experience performing ECG/EKG testing and/or spirometry
- Previous experience taking vital signs and triaging patients
- Experience in a cardiology, respiratory or diagnostic clinic

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
