Recycling Line Worker

Location: Kentville, Nova Scotia
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Overtime: Overtime opportunities available
Required PPE: Steel-toe boots

Job Summary

Nova Staffing is currently seeking dependable and hardworking Recycling Line Workers for an assignment in Kentville, Nova Scotia. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are physically fit, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

As a Recycling Line Worker, you will play an important role in processing recyclable materials, maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

- Sort recyclable materials on a conveyor line according to company guidelines
- Open mixed recycling bales and separate recyclable materials
- Separate plastic film from cardboard and other recyclable products
- Assist the baler operator with processing sandwich bales
- Weigh trucks as they enter and exit the scale
- Sweep and mop floors
- Clean washrooms, office areas, and warehouse spaces
- Perform general housekeeping and facility cleaning duties
- Use a manual pallet jack as required
- Assist with equipment operation and basic maintenance when needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications





- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs throughout the shift
- Comfortable standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour
- Comfortable working in a dusty industrial environment
- Able to work in varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions
- Ability to safely use a manual pallet jack
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Previous recycling, warehouse, manufacturing, or labour experience is an asset but not required

Requirements

- Steel-toe boots in good condition are required
- Satisfactory criminal background check required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and ready to work
- Must be able to work safely and follow all workplace policies
