Associate Family Wealth Advisor

Beaches Financial Group | Toronto — Shops at Don Mills

At Beaches Financial Group, we help families make confident financial decisions through personal service, comprehensive financial planning, and ongoing wealth management. We build lasting relationships and aim to be our clients’ first call when they need financial guidance.

We are looking for an Associate Family Wealth Advisor to take responsibility for an assigned group of existing clients while working alongside and reporting to our senior advisors.

This is an opportunity to build meaningful client relationships within an established practice. You will lead meetings, develop financial plans, address clients’ ongoing needs, and take ownership of follow-through.

We are open to candidates at different stages of their advisory careers. The scope and timing of client transitions will reflect your experience, capabilities, and registration, with mentorship and senior advisor support available.

What you will do

Take ownership of existing client relationships

- Become the primary day-to-day advisor for an assigned group of Beaches clients.
- Lead client meetings and develop a thorough understanding of each household’s financial circumstances, priorities, and goals.
- Provide proactive communication, answer questions, and ensure agreed actions are completed.
- Work with our administrative team to deliver a consistent, organized client experience.
- Recognize complex matters that require senior advisor or specialist involvement.

Develop and maintain financial plans

- Build financial plans covering retirement, cash flow, savings, investment strategies, and estate considerations.
- Analyze scenarios and explain planning recommendations in clear, practical language.

- Review and update plans as clients’ circumstances and goals evolve.
- Coordinate with clients’ accountants, lawyers, and other professionals where appropriate.

Support investment management

- Review portfolios against clients’ objectives, risk tolerance, time horizons, and liquidity needs.
- Work with senior advisors and portfolio management resources on implementation and ongoing monitoring, within your registration and authority.
- Explain investment strategies, performance, fees, and market developments clearly.
- Maintain accurate client records, meeting notes, and required documentation.

Collaborate with senior advisors

- Prepare planning analysis and meeting materials for senior advisors’ client relationships.
- Participate in meetings and take responsibility for assigned follow-up.
- Keep senior advisors informed of significant client developments and outstanding matters.
- Contribute ideas that improve our planning processes and client service.
- Support practice growth through strong relationships, referrals, and participation in prospect meetings.

What you bring

- Relevant experience in wealth management, financial planning, or an advisory environment, ideally 2–5 years. We will consider candidates whose capabilities and experience align with the role.
- CIM designation, or nearing completion,

with the ability to meet the registration requirements applicable to the position.
- CFP designation strongly preferred. Candidates pursuing their CFP or committed to earning it are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare financial plans using professional planning software and explain the results to clients.
- A working understanding of Canadian registered accounts, retirement income strategies, investment principles, and tax considerations.
- Confidence working directly with clients, paired with sound judgment about when to seek guidance.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
- A collaborative approach and a commitment to acting in clients’ best interests.

What we offer

- An $80,000 annual base salary.
- Employee benefits and an annual bonus chance.
- Potential participation in a profit-sharing structure.
- An assigned group of existing client relationships.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with experienced senior advisors.
- Company-paid courses and examination fees toward approved professional designations, including the CFP.
- Opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your capabilities develop.

Apply

Apply with your résumé and a brief introduction outlining your client relationship experience, financial planning capabilities, and progress toward your CIM and/or CFP.
